How far is it from Gasthof Schorn to Salzburg?
The Hotel & Gasthof Schorn is located in St. Leonhard, a district of the market town of Grödig, around 8 km south of Salzburg's old town – about 15 minutes by car. Via the Salzburg Süd exit of the A10 Tauern motorway you'll reach us within a few minutes, and Salzburg Airport is just 12 km away. So you stay in a quiet spot at the foot of the Untersberg and are still in the heart of the Mozart city within minutes.
How do I get to Gasthof Schorn without a car?
Very conveniently: bus lines 5 and 25 stop right by us at the Untersbergbahn terminus – just a few steps from our house, with the Untersbergbahn valley station around 200 metres away. From Salzburg main station you'll reach us in around 20 minutes, via the city centre, Hellbrunn and Anif. Ideal in combination with the SalzburgerLand Card.
Is the Schorn a hotel or a restaurant?
Both – and more. Since 1880, the Hotel & Gasthof Schorn has combined hotel rooms and apartments in two buildings, an à la carte restaurant with regional cuisine and five event rooms under one roof. Our promise "Sleep well. Eat joyfully. Celebrate beautifully." describes exactly that.
Who runs Gasthof Schorn?
The Hotel & Gasthof Schorn is run personally by Monika and Thomas Ziegler. The house in Grödig near Salzburg has existed since 1880 and is now family-owned in the fifth generation. You'll feel this continuity in every detail – from the Bürgerstube to the personal welcome.
Is there parking at Gasthof Schorn?
Yes, almost 80 free parking spaces are available directly at the house, plus three coach parking spaces for groups. Guests in the guesthouse opposite additionally have an included underground parking space. We do not currently offer an e-charging station.
